SO.. how much are you spending on electricity?
here's a few things that we found during our research for our design.
these are some infographics explaining the electricity tariff.
(tariff = schedule of price charges)
here is an overview of the energy sources and tariff.
here is a comparison of tariff with our neighbouring countries:
here is the some info of the increased tariff. did you know that if a building were using the solar harvesting system and generated more than enough electricity to support its activities, the excess electricity can be sold back to TNB?
and lastly, heres a tip on saving on your electricity bills.
when buying electrical appliances, look for the star-rating sticker of SIRIM. more stars means more energy efficient.
energy efficient = less electricity but same quality
its more sustainable, and you save money! =)
so keep this in mind next time you go shopping guys!
lets be sustainable!

Introduction
Malaysia is a constantly growing and expanding in size. New bulidings are being built and renovate every year.Rapid growth of urban areas has been experienced in Malaysia due to drastic growth of economy by well producing and exporting palm oil indutry.Palm oil indutry is the major economic contribution.
This competition target is to contribute in designing a sustainable greenhouse design project, which is already initiated by Institute of Bioproduct Development(IBD),Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. The sustainable house design with the aims of reducing the impact of sprawling development upon the environment and utilising the best available knowledge in sustainable initiatives for both existing housing as well as new developments. In context to to apply the principle of lower environmental impacts through greater energy efficiency of the building, lower energy demand in use and reduced water usage.
Concern and alarm regarding the continuing degradation of the world’s environment and the unsustainable use of the natural resources makes societies acknowledge the importance of re-evaluating the manner in which they live. The building we live in example our house, their design, their modification and consultation contribute greatly to environment factors and climate change generators.
As per main target of this competition, this project intends to rethink tropical urban housing and connecting infrastructure to recreate a much sustainable city-eco-system,supporting innovation, economy and ecology in Malaysia.
